Spring Colds

It’s bad enough to have a cold. it’s ten times worse when it’s nice out. Snorting and hacking all day long. Can’t make it easy on myself, can I? Now add playing to gigs on the weekend, smoke-filled bars, etc. No wonder I felt like hell. And could barely talk. I hope I don’t get Beth sick!
The house tune-up continues!
Brett has finished painting the ceiling and it looks awesome. Now we just need to get the doors in and that room will pretty much have the base done. Then it’s window treatments, cribs, YIKES!!! Plus the closet door. Idiots who designed it made the opening 46.75″ wide. The standard is 48″. WTF? There was room for 1.25″ more! Oh well. Get some nice sliders and all will be well.
Bathroom has a coat of primer on it. it’s not as blue as it was, but it’s still blue-ish. There were some massive holes from the drywall screws from the previous owner. I hope they dry up quick. Home Depot gets more of our money. We’re still trying to decide on a color. The floor is white with dark blue diamonds all over it. Hard to come up with a color scheme for that! I hope to have it all done by Wednesday night. Otherwise it’ll be Sat or Sun (weekday gig @ the Rock). Crap.
We’re hoping to get some yard repair done as well. Rake up the old grass, rip up the dog damage and reseed. It looks horrible. What can you do? Plus We should maybe burn out that apple tree stump as well. Maybe make a mini-block firepit and put all the yard debris in it and burn it that way? That’d be easier on two ends! I should ask the wife if she thinks it’s a good idea…
